The Kansas City Chiefs parted ways with Kevin Brock Wednesday, giving the team just two tight ends on the active roster.
Taking Brock’s spot on the roster is offensive lineman Rokevious Watkins, who has been on the Kansas City practice squad all season. He spent time with the St. Louis Rams last season, playing in one game after being selected in the fifth-round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Brock signed with the Chiefs back in February and impressed enough in training camp to make the initial 53-man roster. However, his time on the active roster was short lived and he was cut when Kansas City was awarded seven waiver claims following final cuts.
The tight end landed back on the Chiefs active roster a couple weeks later and played in four games as the team dealt with injuries to Anthony Fasano and Travis Kelce. Brock caught three passes for 36 yards.
