Kiper, McShay Agree On Chiefs Pick In Final Mocks

The 2012 NFL Draft is hours away and there are still a lot of questions surrounding just what the Kansas City Chiefs (and most teams after the first two) will do in the first round. Even with so much up in the air, ESPN’s top two draftniks are in agreement with the Chiefs pick at No. 11.

Both Mel Kiper and Todd McShay believe GM Scott Pioli will go with Alabama safety Mark Barron.

Of the countless rumors flying around New York City right now, Barron to Kansas City seems to have legs. Of course, the Dallas Cowboys are said to be hot for him as well, making this a perfect opportunity for Pioli to build up the value of the pick in a trade.

I like Barron a lot and it’s unreal picturing him playing next to Eric Berry, but would still rather they trade back in this scenario to pick up an extra pick.
