The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed undrafted free agent WR/CB Josh Bellamy from Louisville.
Scouts Inc. assigned a rating of 30 to Bellamy and ranked him as the 59th best wide receiver.
You can check out his Louisville profile here.
Could this be the second coming of Quinten Lawrence (for better or worse)?
Lawrence, if you’ll remember, was drafted as a wide receiver back in 2009 and found himself on and off the Chiefs active roster over the next three seasons. Finally the team moved him to the secondary and he seemed to find his niche before leaving this offseason to sign a free agent deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Bellamy spent two seasons at Louisville and caught 53 passes for 681 yards and impressed at his Pro Day by running his 40 in 4.47. He also worked out at corner, which could give him another chance to find a way onto an NFL roster, with the Chiefs or otherwise.
