Before their final training camp practice, the Kansas City Chiefs signed free agent CB Kennard Cox and released LB Chad Kilgore.
Cox was a seventh-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2008 and has spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks. He’s appeared in 29 games, though none since 2011 when he was in Seattle.
The cornerback has a connection with Chiefs GM John Dorsey, having spent time on the Green Bay Packers practice squad in 2008.
If he could have made the team, the former Excelsior Spring High School and Northwest Missouri State star would have been a great story, but was unable to make a move up the depth chart.
