The Kansas City Chiefs have released their seven inactive players for their game against the Indianapolis Colts and for some reason veteran WR Steve Breaston and QB Ricky Stanzi are both still a healthy scratches.
WR Steve Breaston, RB Nate Eachus, S Abe Elam, OL Russ Hochstein, TE Tony Moeaki, QB Ricky Stanzi, NT Anthony Toribio
There are some minor differences between last week’s inactive list. RB Cyrus Gray and NT Jerrell Powe are playing after sitting out last week and replacing them on the sidelines are Toribio and the injured Moeaki.
The fact that Moeaki is unable to play and WR Dwayne Bowe is out for the season, it’s mind boggling to see Breaston to still be left in street clothes. With head coach Romeo Crennel and GM Scott Pioli on their way out the door, the only thing that makes sense is they refuse to play a “Haley guy” before they leave.
It’s also a head scratcher to see Stanzi counted out. I don’t understand why Stanzi isn’t starting at this point in the season, but why not keep him behind Quinn to give the Chiefs fans one thing to finally cheer about after Quinn puts Kansas City in another hole?
Crennel and the Chiefs can’t even get their inactives right! This is a sad finish to a sad season.
