The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of seven inactive players for Sunday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Arrowhead Stadium. The biggest name on the list for the Chiefs is recently acquired QB Kyle Orton as it appears he will have to wait at least a week before making his debut.
DL Brandon Bair, G Ryan Lilja, TE Jake O’Connell, QB Kyle Orton, NT Jerrell Powe, DB Donald Washington, LB Demorrio Williams
Lilja had been ruled out early in the week, while Williams is the only other player that was scratched due to injury. That means the other half of the Chiefs injury report — Glenn Dorsey and Jon McGraw — will return to the starting lineup after missing last week’s game against the New England Patriots.
Getting Dorsey back is huge for a Kansas City defense that started strong against the Patriots but quickly ran out of gas. The Chiefs will need as many healthy bodies up front as they can get if they plan on slowing down the Steelers.
Leaving Orton inactive means that rookie Ricky Stanzi will once again be the only other quarterback Todd Haley has to work with after interim-starter Tyler Palko.
