Battle, McClain Both Probable For Sunday

When the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, they will have their entire backfield healthy and ready to roll.  Both Jackie Battle and Le’Ron McClain left the Chiefs game against the Indianapolis Colts two weeks ago with neck injuries, but have practiced all week and are officially listed as probable.

After McClain was hurt, the Chiefs were forced to get creative in the running game, shifting several different players around to help block for Battle.  Even with the different lineups, Battle ran for a career best 119 yards on 19 carries before being hurt on his final carry.

Even without the services of Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs are averaging just over 127 yards per game — good for sixth in the NFL — and will need the services of both Battle and McClain if they hope to get anywhere near that number Sunday.
