Are you in the market for a new home in California? If so, former Chief Molnty Beisel’s Encino contemporary is on the market for just $2,495,000, according to the LA Times.
The NFL linebacker completely remodeled the 1962 home, emphasizing clean lines and adding Asian-inspired accents. He painted most of the artwork on the walls. A long, low, glass-fronted fireplace adds drama to the living room, and an oversized island provides prep, cooking and seating space for four in the open kitchen.
There are four bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and 3,797 square feet of living space in two stories. Outside, a deep-blue swimming pool is surrounded by seating areas, including an outdoor living room.
He bought the property in 2006 for $1,615,000, according to public records.
I’m not looking for a new house — and certainly not on the West Coast — but it will be mighty hard to turn down such a bargain. Seriously though, if Beisel gets anywhere near his asking price he’ll make a pretty penny for only owning the house for roughly four years.
