The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of 8 inactive players for today’s game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.
S Kendrick Lewis, CB Mike Richardson, CB Jackie Bates, FB Tim Castille, LB Charlie Anderson, C Rudy Niswanger, WR Chris Chambers and DL Anthony Toribio.
Great news that Brandon Flowers is active. Having him out there, along with Jon McGraw and Eric Berry behind him should go a long way towards slowing down the Broncos passing game that was so lethal just a few weeks ago.
Also good — though less surprising — to see McCluster back in the lineup. He was removed completely from the injury report this week and has been expected to once again be a factor. The Kansas City offense has been on fire lately and that’s been without one of the league’s most exciting rookies.
Another step back for Chambers as he has once again gone from little used to “healthy scratch”. I just don’t why the Chiefs would bother keeping him around for the stretch run if he is just going to sit on the sidelines in street clothes. You are paying the man either way, so why not bring a more versatile player up to the 53-man roster in place of Chambers?
