The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of 8 inactive players for today’s game against the Raiders in Oakland.
WR Dexter McCluster, S Kendrick Lewis, CB Jackie Bates, FB Mike Cox, S Reshard Langford, LB Charlie Anderson, LB Justin Cole, LB Mark Simoneau.
The Raiders inactives have a few very prominent names:
WR Louis Murphy, CB Nnamdi Asomugha, RB Michael Bennett, LB Bruce Davis, DT John Henderson, TE Zach Miller, WR Chaz Schilens.
No surprise to see McCluster out as he is likely to miss next week’s game as well. Lewis, on the other hand, looked like he had recovered from his hamstring injury though those can linger and apparently are with the rookie safety.
Interesting to see that Cox is back inactive after he had taken over the starting fullback job from Tim Castille. Both were active last week and now the job appears back in Castille’s hands.
Good to see that Ryan Lilja is back active and likely starting after missing last week.
The conditions will likely prevent the passing game from being a huge factor, but it’s always a benefit when Asomugha misses any time. He’s one of the best in the league and his absence will be felt today in Oakland. The same can be said for Miller who is the most sure handed receiver the Raiders have.
