Chiefs Sign Undrafted FA RB Nate Eachus

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed undrafted free agent RB Nate Eachus from Colgate.

We’ve already picked our favorite to make the Chiefs roster out of training camp and now we’ve found the most likely UDFA to become a fan favorite.

Being from a FCS program is a good first step, but then add in his hard nosed play and record-setting career and you’ve got someone fans will love to cheer for throughout training camp.

During his four years at Colgate, Eachus piled up 4,485 yards rushing and 53 (!!!) touchdowns despite only seeing action in six games as a senior due to injury.

Obviously will need to prove he can contribute on special teams before anyone worries about him getting carries in a crowded Chiefs backfield, but Eachus will be intriguing to watch as he makes the transition to the NFL.

  1. My son knows Nate from the Hazleton Area High School football team. Nate will know my son by his nickname: “Ghost.” According to my son, Nate is a beast, pure and simple. He has tremendous dedication to the game and will make an excellent contribution to both the Chiefs and the NFL. Jon’s fav. team is the Packers, and hoped they would have been smart enough to sign Nate. Jon knows what he is talking about and, if Nate stays healthy, we’ll be hearing from him for years to come.
