The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of seven inactive players for today’s game against the San Diego Chargers.
QB Ricky Stanzi, DB Reshard Langford, OT Steve Maneri, WR Jerheme Urban, WR Jonathan Baldwin, DL Brandon Bair, NT Jerrell Powe.
A nearly identical list to last week’s against the Detroit Lions. The only change is Urban being deactivated in favor of WR Keary Colbert.
The roster spot of Jamaal Charles will be taken by WR Jeremy Horne, who was signed from the practice squad this week. Horne spent some time on the Chiefs active roster at the beginning of last season and is clearly being looked to as a spark for a position that has been terrible through two games.
Urban can’t feel too secure in Kansas City when he is left off the active roster in favor of a recent addition in Horne and a player that spent all of last year out of the NFL in Colbert. If Baldwin is able to suit up next week, Urban looks like a prime candidate to be sent packing if the Chiefs decide to finally sign a running back to add some depth in the absence of Charles.
