The San Diego Chargers will need to sell nearly 5,000 tickets by Thursday afternoon if they want to avoid a local TV blackout for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team announced on Tuesday.
While it’s understandable the Chargers would have trouble drawing for one of the worst teams in the league, it’s sad that a Week 3 matchup with the defending division champions is on the verge of being blacked out.
If you are a Chiefs fan in San Diego and want to check out the game, there are nearly 8,000 tickets available on StubHub with prices starting at $20.
Things aren’t getting much better on the ticket front in San Diego with another winless team in the Miami Dolphins coming to down on October 2nd and almost 10,000 tickets available.
To be fair, if the Chiefs come home to Kansas City 0-3 against a bad Minnesota Vikings team, you can be sure there will be plenty of good seats still available on game day.
