Page Finally Signs His Tender

On the eve of final roster cuts, Jarrad Page decided to throw the Kansas City Chiefs a curve ball by signing his restricted free agent tender, according to Jason La Canfora.

Page has not yet decided when he will report to the team, but his arrival is not likely to come before next week, according to the source.

Although the contract has been signed, Page is still requesting a trade something he has asked for on several occasions, according to the source.

If Page really wanted to mess with the Chiefs, he would have waited until tomorrow night after they made all of their cuts and then delivered the signed tender.  Though this scenario isn’t much better.

With the potential of playing a few men short due to injuries to Cameron Sheffield, Maurice Leggett and Ryan O’Callaghan, Page counting towards the 53-man limit will make cuts that much more interesting.  He clearly wants nothing to do with Todd Haley, Scott Pioli or anyone else in Kansas City but now all he can do is show up and cause trouble until he’s traded.

This will be very interesting to watch all weekend.
