Four Injured Chiefs Active Vs. Panthers

The Kansas City Chiefs will have Branden Albert, Tamba Hali, Ryan Lilja and Dexter McCluster in uniform when they take on the Carolina Panthers Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium.

McCluster had been the most likely to play heading into the game with a probable designation, while Albert, Hali and Lilja were all questionable. With those four in uniform for the Chiefs, that leaves only Kendrick Lewis forced to the sidelines with an injury.

Though Albert is healthy, rookie Donald Stephenson will start in his place at left tackle, while veteran Brandon Siler starts in the place of Jovan Belcher at linebacker next to Derrick Johnson.

Once again, both Breaston and Wylie are healthy scratches at wide receiver. It’s all but assured these are the final games Breason will spend with the Chiefs, but you would assume the rookie Wylie will get another training camp to try and prove he’s worthy of a spot in the NFL.

If head coach Romeo Crennel is ever going to give Stanzi a chance to show what he can do, it won’t be this week no matter how Brady Quinn and/or Matt Cassel end up performing against the Panthers.
