Pendergast could either replace incumbent secondary coach Lionel Washington, who is still under contract, or join Washington on staff. Willie Brown, who assists in the secondary and is in charge of “squad development,” told Comcast SportsNet he was retiring.
Good to see Pendergast get a job so quickly. To go with the Raiders he must either really want a challenge or he could always get a chance to be their next head coach. I would put the odds at Pendergast taking over for a fired Tom Cable at 1000/1. Only with Oakland could there even be a chance.
