After getting beat up pretty good on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, there are a couple of reports floating around that Dexter McCluster left the Chiefs facility on crutches and in a boot. Both reports come from Kents. The first is our friend Nathan Kent over at Home Of The Chiefs.
According to my source, he left the facility sporting a boot on his right foot and walking with the assistance of a cane.
The other is Kent Babb on his Twitter feed.
To sort of answer the McCluster questions, I heard today that he was on crutches, but I couldn’t confirm.
If McCluster was on crutches (and I know he took some hard shots Sunday), that could mean anything. Too early to overreact.
The one Kent could have heard the first Kent’s report about McCluster’s situation, so it’ hard to take anything solid.
McCluster was slow to get up after catching a pass early in the fourth quarter, but he was able to walk off the field without a noticeable limp. The adrenaline still could have been pumping, not to mention the swelling would make matters worse but all we’re talking about it speculation at this point.
Hopefully it’s just the team being safe and McCluster is able to be out there Sunday against the Bills as he has been playing a bigger role in the offense every week.
