Romeo Crennel, Chiefs Come To Terms

The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms with Romeo Crennel to be their new defensive coordinator, according to Scout.com’s Adam Caplan.

Crennel agreed to a 3-year deal.  He will coach at the East-West game and then start with Kansas City after the Super Bowl.

Whether Clancy Pendergast has been reassigned remains to be seen.

I would expect an official announcement from the team along with a conference call later today.  Caplan is close with Linta, so this deal is done.

Now that both sides of the ball are set for next season, the entire team can get to work for 2010.  Impossible for anyone to dislike this move by Todd Haley and Scott Pioli.

Welcome to Kansas City, Romeo!
