Four Players Move On Chiefs Injury Report

The Kansas City Chiefs still own one of the biggest injury reports in the NFL with 13 players listed, but at least they saw some improvement. Three players were upgraded on the second day — the only in pads — of practice ahead of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

WR Steve Breaston and CB Jalil Brown were upgraded on Thursday from a limited to full participant in practice, while G Ryan Lilja went from being unable to practice Wednesday to a full participant.

Not all the movement on the Chiefs injury report was positive. Reserve CB Jacques Reeves went from being limited to not able to practice at all. We will get the final “Probable/Questionable/Doubtful/Out” designations on Friday, but you should expect Reeves and the other two players that didn’t practice — tight ends Kevin Boss and Jake O’Connell — to miss Sunday’s game.

The most important injured Chief, Jamaal Charles, was once again a full participant in practice. His surgically repaired knee was bothering him in last week’s loss to the Buffalo Bills and he only picked up three yards on six carries. The Kansas City offense will need to lean on Charles if the Chiefs are going to have a chance to score the upset in New Orleans.

The Saints injury report was nearly identical to the one released Wednesday with LB Jonathan Casillas’ move up to a limited participant as the only change. Former Chiefs DE Turk McBride was once again unable to practice and isn’t likely to suit up on Sunday.
