Bowe, Dorsey Join Chiefs Injury Report
The Kansas City Chiefs injury report expanded on Thursday when starters Dwayne Bowe and Glenn Dorsey were added after not being on the team’s initial report Wednesday.
As they prepare for Sunday’s matchup with the San Diego Chargers, the Chiefs now have 11 players listed, giving them one of the largest injury reports in the NFL for the second week in a row. While both Bowe and Dorsey were new to the report, at least they were able to participate in practice, even if only on a limited basis.
One good sign for the Chiefs is the progress of Steve Breaston. The wide receiver was not able to practice for Romeo Crennel on Wednesday, but got out onto the field Thursday and was upgraded to a limited participant.
All told, there are eight starters on the Kansas City injury report, potentially putting the Chiefs depth to the test against San Diego at Arrowhead Sunday afternoon.
The Chargers injury report also increased on Thursday, but at five players is still tiny compared to the Chiefs. The player added for San Diego is former Kansas City linebacker Demorrio Williams, who was a limited participant in practice, joining another former Chiefs, offensive tackle Jared Gaither.
CB Quentin Jammer missed practice on Wednesday for the Chargers, but was upgraded to a full participant.
