Shortly after he was let go by the Kansas City Chiefs, former GM Scott Pioli shared his thoughts on the Top 10 underclassmen. Now we’ll all get an even bigger window into Pioli’s mind as we get closer to the NFL Draft.
Pioli, along with former New York Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum, has been added to the NFL Network’s coverage leading up to the draft. There’s no word exactly how the two ex-personnel men will be used, but they can give the most relevant information on how a modern war room is run.
Considering how poorly Pioli handled the quarterback position during his time in Kansas City, it’s probably better set up for him to shine on the set. After all, there may not be a signal caller rated highly enough to crack the top 10 after three were taken last year, including the top two picks.
When he rated the top underclassmen, Pioli had offensive tackle Luke Joeckel atop his list. So expect a lot of chatter from him talking up the big man from Texas A&M as the best choice for new Chiefs GM John Dorsey.
