The Kansas City Chiefs will play their first game at the New Arrowhead next Friday, August 27th against the Philadelphia Eagles. But you can see the Chiefs play some football there before then (and for free!) when the team holds an evening practice session open to the public Wednesday.
This practice will allow fans the opportunity to get a free preview of the Chiefs and all levels of the New Arrowhead. Stadium gates will open at 6:15 PM for the practice session and fans can enter through any spiral gate, the Tower Gate and Founder’s Plaza Gate entrances. Parking for the night practice is free.
The event will also feature appearances from the Chiefs Cheerleaders, Warpaint, KC Wolf, and the Chiefs Rumble, and will culminate with a special choreographed fireworks show.
Fans will be able to explore many of the new features and areas of New Arrowhead during practice. Concessions, merchandise and other amenities will only be available on the Field Level, including the new Chiefs Team Store.
Very cool way for the Chiefs to debut the stadium in a football atmosphere. This will allow every Chiefs fan the chance to see all of the changes at Arrowhead (including the Hall of Honor) without spending a dime.
Just a great event that hopefully all of you that are in the area will take advantage of before the first game on the 27th.
