For the second week in a row, a team accused Chiefs defensive lineman Shaun Smith of inappropriate contact below the belt and for the second week in a row Smith denied it. Smith will have a hard time denying to the actions to the league after seeing this video (via Arrowhead Pride).
I suppose Smith could say he didn’t do anything intentionally, but it’s hard to watch that and think he isn’t grabbing/punching Davis on that play.
His actions seemed to provoke the opponent into big personal foul penalties two weeks in a row which helped the Chiefs. Something tells me the league is going to make sure it doesn’t happen a third time.
