The Kansas City Chiefs offensive line depth could be tested in a big way against the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday night at Heinz Field.
On their final injury report, Romeo Crennel’s has three players listed as “questionable” and two of those are along the offensive line — T Branden Albert and G Ryan Lilja. Albert is dealing with a back injury, which it’s Lilja’s neck giving him trouble.
The third Chiefs player with his status at 50/50 is TE Steve Maneri. Normally the third-string tight end’s status wouldn’t be a huge deal, but the former offensive tackle could be needed to help out an ailing line.
Starting guard Jeff Allen is also on the Chiefs injury report with a head injury, but he’s probable and should be able to go. The same goes for backup running back Nate Eachus, who had to sit out last week after suffering a concussion. He’s been an important part of clearing the way for RB Jamaal Charles.
Only Glenn Dorsey (soon to officially be on IR) and Brady Quinn have been ruled “Out” against the Steelers.
Pittsburgh’s final injury report included nine players, including four ruled “out”. Among them are S Troy Polamalu and WR Antonio Brown.
