The Kansas City Chiefs will pull off a rare feat when they meet the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night. Romeo Crennel’s team will be the fourth biggest underdogs the NFL has seen ten weeks into the season.
The Steelers are currently favored by 12.5 points over the struggling Chiefs. Only the Jacksonville Jaguars (+14.5) Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals (+14) against the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins (+13) against the Houston Texans have found themselves getting more points this season.
Obviously the Chiefs are the biggest underdogs of the week, something they are familiar with. Back in Week 3, Kansas City visited the Big Easy getting more points (9) than any other team in the league. That week the Chiefs were able to win the game outright by scoring 21 unanswered points.
In addition to Kansas City being able to pull off the upset over the Saints, Chiefs cans can take solace in the face that the line has come down… a whole half point!
With Todd Haley likely grinning from ear to ear with the chance to get a little pay back against Chiefs GM Scott Pioli, I don’t know if there’s a number you could give me to feel comfortable taking the Chiefs. Would anyone really be surprised if the Steelers won by 30 points?
