Ever since opening The New Arrowhead, the Kansas City Chiefs have scheduled several huge non-sports events. One of the biggest will be when Taylor Swift’s tour makes a stop on September 24. On Friday the team released the presale and general ticket information.
The presale for Jackson County, Missouri taxpayers will be offered on Monday, February 7 and Tuesday, February 8. Tickets may be purchased in person at select Ticketmaster outlets or at the Arrowhead Stadium Ticket Office located between Founder’s Plaza and the Hy-Vee Gate on the northwest side of the stadium from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Chiefs Season Ticket Holders can also participate in the presale via a link and password that will be emailed to them prior to February 7.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m.
Bringing these type of events to The New Arrowhead is one of the many reasons why Mark Donovan was promoted this week. He is making sure that the Chiefs aren’t just scheduling for the sake of scheduling. Instead, every non-sports event so far has been with the biggest names in music.
This one, however, does concern me a bit from a football perspective. Bringing concerts to The New Arrowhead during the summer is one thing, but during the season is a different beast all together. If there is any damage done to the field, there won’t be much time to address those issues.
