When Tony Gonzalez was with the Kansas City Chiefs it was normal for him to set team and league records. On Sunday, one of those records was tied by emerging star Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints.
With 124 yards on seven catches against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Graham recorded his fourth-straight 100-yard game in a single season. Gonzalez had previously been the only tight end in the history of the NFL to have such a streak.
Gonzalez put together his four-game stretch back in 2000 when he had a total of 29 catches for 452 yards. Graham has also had 29 catches but for 485 yards.
Graham will have a chance to pass Gonzalez next week against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football. On Sunday the Colts defense held Cincinnati Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham to 23 yards on four catches.
