Tyson Jackson Closer To Returning

The Kansas City Chiefs returned to the practice field today after a day off to prepare for Sunday’s game in Indianapolis.  The bye week seems to have helped the team recover from their various injuries, with only three players listed on the injury report.

Did Not Practice
Ryan O’Callaghan
Reshard Langford

Limited Participant
Tyson Jackson

It looks like we will see Jackson back on the field after missing the last two games with a sprained MCL.  He will present a nice problem for Romeo Crennel, as the defensive coordinator decides if Jackson or Shaun Smith gets the start and majority of playing time.  Smith has been impressive while filling in opposite Glenn Dorsey and definitely earned more playing time.

It’s disappointing that O’Callaghan has still yet to find his way back to the starting lineup and at this point it would be foolish to expect to see him anytime soon.

Against the Colts you’d like to have all of your defensive backs available, but the Chiefs seem set at safety.  I’d be more worried if one of the Brandons was nursing an injury.
