Try as we may, there doesn’t seem to be any way to escape Carl Peterson. The latest run in between the Kansas City Chiefs and their former President/GM will take place Friday night in Green Bay, though this one is for a good cause.
Peterson’s USA Football — he’s the Chairman — will celebrate ‘USA Football Month’ at Lambeau Field during the Chiefs-Packers game. They will recognize four youth football teams before the national anthem and then have them play a scrimmage at halftime.
I’ve yet to hear if he will be at the game, but you can be that if Peterson makes the trip, he’ll stop by the booth to chat with one of his biggest acquisitions, Trent Green. Green will be analyzing the game and could reminisce with Peterson about his game-winning overtime hookup with Eddie Kennison to keep the Chiefs perfect back in 2003.
