Will Franklin Heads North

Following in the footsteps of the infamous Casey Printers, former Kansas City Chiefs WR Will Franklin had decided to take his game to the CFL.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers continue to flesh out their training camp roster, adding wide receiver Will Franklin.

Franklin was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL draft and played in 13 games with the Chiefs that season making seven catches for 83 yards.

Franklin was waived in April of 2009 and spent parts of last season with the Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders as a practice squad player.

The 6-foot, 210-pound Franklin played his college football at Missouri and caught 49 passes for 709 yards as a senior.  Franklin scored four touchdowns while being named honourable mention All-Big 12.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait until we get Franklin vs. Printers Round 1.

Could be as compelling as Manning vs. Brady… Maybe.

Or maybe not.
